DuckDuckGo is a search engine designed for individuals concerned about their privacy.
DuckDuckGo has announced the availability of App Tracking Protection, a beta feature that allows you to disable third-party trackers in your applications even when you are not using them. The tool, tested by a small group of users roughly a year ago, now includes the option to examine what personal data trackers seek to gather.
The average Android user has 35 apps on their phone and tracks them 1,000 to 2,000 times per day, according to DuckDuckGo. You can access the updated feature by updating your Android app to the latest version, selecting “App Tracking Protection” under settings, and following the instructions.
Apple’s App Tracking Transparency has provided iOS users with a comparable private browsing experience thanks to its App Tracking Transparency. It does, however, serve Android – the majority of smartphone users worldwide – as DuckDuckGo explains in its blog post.
